My New ‘Outlook’
In my last post I mentioned that I am going abandon Google for different services starting with my mail account.
I am writing this to tell that the first step toward my Migrations phase of is DONE. I have successfully migrated my mails and a new mail ID to the beautiful and awesome Outlook.
Why I Want to Move Away My Google Account
Google, It’s like a Walmart for Internet services. You can get whatever you want from its portfolio of products ranging from Email to Wedding planner, it wants to simplify everything… literally everything.
Now, that’s a good thing to have all our needs and services under one roof.
“One account - For Every Google services”
that’s how Google let’s you manage all of your google services from only one account. There’s a long going debate whether that’s a better or bad thing, I am not going into that, it’s upto you for deciding. But, as the saying goes, Never put all your eggs in one basket and why is that?
Hello Ruby..!!
Yes, you read it right. I have been learning Python as you can see from my blog for almost 6 months now and have developed some decent apps too.
It has been an fun ride overall and looking back myself 6 months before, I really couldn’t believe how my life was without knowing everything now. I learned more python and web development in general to an greater extent, got familiar with frameworks and much more.. But, in a span of weeks there is no more “SysAdmin by profession and WebDev by heart”, Only “WebDev by profession, by heart and by soul”.
After Some Time
After some time away from blogging and some climb in the learning curve in python, I gotta admit I have learnt ton of new things and not alone that but I have written some scripts that actually works!!
I’ve wrote some scripts for my company which I can’t share it but I learned many new libraries and automated some of the most tedious tasks that were performed manually before.
My First 3 Days in Flask Framework
After a lot of confusions and searching I decided to begin with Flask framework first, since Django is pretty complicated (for beginning).
After some three days of learning and practicing Flask I must say, I’m lovin it. At the very beginning, I thought that as it is mentioned as a micro framework it can be used only for minimal applications, but I was totally wrong. As pointed in many blog posts and forums, don’t get fooled by the phrase micro framework. It can do as much as what other frameworks can do for you and that too in a simplified manner.
